On the 9th of December, the 2025 Shine on Stage Christmas Talent Concert brought an unforgettable evening of music, artistry and festive warmth to Steinway Gallery Melbourne. Held in the heart of our gallery, the concert welcomed an inspiring group of young musicians who filled the room with Christmas spirit and exceptional performances.
OPENING REMARKS
‘The evening began with a warm and genuine welcome from Mark O’Connor, CEO of Steinway Galleries Australia. Mark thanked everyone for joining this year’s celebration and introduced the Steinway & Sons Spirio — the world’s finest high-resolution player piano. His remarks set the tone for a night filled with gratitude, inspiration and festive cheer.
MUSICAL HIGHLIGHTS
This year, 14 outstanding young performers were selected through our Christmas concert auditions. Each musician brought their own unique style and dedication to the stage, performing with confidence, expression, and remarkable musical maturity. From gentle atmospheric works to lively duets and expressive pieces, the evening showcased the impressive range and talent of our young performers.
Guests, families, and friends gathered to share in the celebration, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere that elevated every moment. The gallery resonated not only with beautiful piano music but also with the joy and togetherness that define the festive season.

During the concert, we also showcased a Spirio|R demonstration. One of the performers was recorded live, and the piano then flawlessly played back their performance. This remarkable technology, capable of capturing and playing back live performances, thrilled the audience and earned enthusiastic applause.
