On Saturday, 6 June 2026, Steinway Gallery Sydney had the pleasure of presenting a Piano Masterclass with Steinway Artist David Fung, welcoming participants and audience members for an engaging day of musical learning and artistic development.

Throughout the masterclass, David shared valuable insights drawn from his extensive performing and teaching experience. His thoughtful guidance, keen musical observations, and practical advice encouraged participants to explore new perspectives in their interpretation and performance, creating a rewarding learning experience for all in attendance.

The masterclass featured outstanding performances from Joshua, Raphael, Jeffrey, Isabella, Chengsu, and Oscar. Their programs showcased a diverse selection of repertoire by Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Liszt, Frédéric Chopin, Alexander Scriabin, and Maurice Ravel, highlighting a wide range of musical styles and artistic approaches. Performing on the Steinway & Sons Model B grand piano provided each participant with the opportunity to explore a rich palette of tone colours, dynamic contrasts, and expressive possibilities, bringing greater depth and nuance to their interpretations.

We were delighted to see such strong engagement from both performers and audience members throughout the day. Events such as these provide valuable opportunities for emerging pianists to refine their craft, gain professional insights, and share their music within a supportive environment.
We extend our sincere thanks to Steinway Artist David Fung for his generosity and expertise, as well as to all participants and attendees who contributed to the success of the event.
We look forward to welcoming audiences to more inspiring performances, masterclasses, and educational events at Steinway Gallery Sydney in the future.
