On 26th June, 2025, Steinway Gallery Melbourne had the distinct honour of welcoming internationally acclaimed Steinway Artist and Steinway Honorary Professor Lang Lang. Widely regarded as one of the most influential classical pianists of our time, Lang Lang’s visit was a truly unforgettable moment for the Steinway family in Australia.
His presence brought an atmosphere of inspiration, joy, and energy to the gallery, reminding all of us once again of music’s extraordinary power to unite, uplift, and move people across generations.
During his visit, Lang Lang was warmly greeted by Mark O’Connor, CEO of Steinway Galleries Australia, and June O’Connor, Sales Manager of Steinway Galleries Australia.
He happily signed the Steinway & Sons Black and White Spirio | B-211 grand piano—a striking instrument currently on display at Steinway Gallery Melbourne—and performed a beautiful piece on it, much to the delight of those present.
This special occasion will be remembered as a highlight in the gallery’s history, celebrating not only musical excellence but also the global community that continues to grow around Steinway & Sons.
