Steinway Galleries Australia welcomed the Year of the Snake with an unforgettable Lunar New Year celebration in its Melbourne and Sydney galleries, on 4th and 8th February respectively. The nights were filled with music, elegance, and festive spirit. Those evenings brought together esteemed guests, music enthusiasts, and the Steinway community to celebrate this special occasion.
The events began with opening remarks from Mark O’Connor, CEO of Steinway Galleries Australia, in Melbourne, and Lisha Feng, Assistant Manager of Steinway Galleries Australia, in Sydney. They expressed their gratitude to the attendees and shared their excitement in celebrating the Lunar New Year with the beautiful Steinway SPIRIO piano.
The events featured distinguished guest pianists, with Sean Kim performing in Melbourne and James Guan in Sydney, delivering breathtaking performances that captivated audiences. Their piano interpretations captivated the audiences, taking them on an emotional journey.

Steinway Artist Performances Through the Spirio at Lunar New Year Celebration
Following the live performances, the Steinway Spirio extended the musical celebration with stunning renditions Liu Yang River by Steinway Artists Wei Luo. Even without being physically present, the audience enjoyed their accurate performances through the Spirio, as though this esteemed musician herself was present to celebrate the Lunar New Year at the Sydney and Melbourne galleries.
In the spirit of the Lunar New Year, Steinway Galleries Australia had also offered an exceptional opportunity: an 8.8% Lunar New Year Celebration Sale, running from 29 January to 12 February. This limited-time offer provided a chance to own a Steinway, Boston or Essex piano at 8.8% off the normal ticket price.
