Lady Gaga plays a Steinway grand piano, the Steinway Model D, in her music video release for Hold My Hand. This powerful ballad will be featured in the upcoming movie Top Gun: Maverick. Nearly a minute into the clip, we see Lady Gaga performing on the full concert grand piano set across the runway.
She announced the video early this month with a selfie on her Instagram and said, ‘I wrote the song for the INCREDIBLE movie but also for people who feel like they’re not gonna be ok or WE ARE never gonna be ok and that life taught me through hard times to have faith in humanity when it’s hard to have faith in yourself.’
Lady Gaga added, ‘When you feel lonely, sad, removed from the world, far away from yourself and others. One day you may even be strong enough to hold your own.’
Two weeks after its release, the Hold My Hand official video ranked 8th in YouTube Music. Fans speculate that Hold My Hand is a contender for Best Original Song at the upcoming Oscars. It could be a possible second win for Lady Gaga.
