Sydney, 24-25 November 2023 — Steinway & Sons Australia is proud to have sponsored the 40th anniversary of the Schools Spectacular. Our Steinway Model B-211 grand piano graced the stage with two young musicians for the opening performance of the second act.
Themed “Fabulous”, The Schools Spectacular 2023 was held at the Qudos Bank Arena on the 24th and 25th of November. The event lived up to its reputation as the largest annual variety show organised by The Arts Unit of the NSW Department of Education. It involved over 5,000 students and over 600 teachers across 387 public schools.
Mary Lopez AM, the visionary founder of Schools Spectacular, joined the celebrations as well. Reflecting on the journey, she shared in the program, “Reaching the Fabulous age of 40 was never something any of us at the beginning ever thought would happen. The magnitude of this occasion cannot be underestimated. This show is all about dedication to public education, goodwill by everyone.”
