On Friday, 6 October 2023, Steinway Gallery Sydney hosted a recital featuring the students of piano teacher Scott Lam, with performers between ages 5 and 17. The program opened with Albeniz’s ‘Cordoba’ and concluded with Rachmaninoff’s Etude Tableau Op. 39 No. 1. Two duets by sisters Alexandra and Maddie Shi stood out, as each was accompanied by their father on the piano.
