Joshua Rossetto is an 18 year-old pianist from Adelaide, South Australia. Joshua first began piano lessons at age 10 and quickly became serious about music. Joshua has performed at numerous school events at Woodcroft College and around the State. Joshua has been in masterclasses with Konstantin Shamray, Lucinda Collins, Anna Goldsworthy, and Vivian Choi-Milton at the University of Adelaide. Joshua has also been a prize winner of various Adelaide Eisteddfod Competitions including 1st 2nd and 3rd places in the Junior piano concerto competition, the 14 years and under, 16 and under, and 25 and under categories respectively. Prior to his competition successes, Joshua had performed at the Hopgood theatre and the Adelaide Festival Centre between 2019 and 2021.
Joshua studies under Simon Pazos Quintana at the Open Music Academy at the Elder Conservatorium, he is in Year 12 at Woodcroft College and enjoys playing regular solo performances around South Australia. In 2023, Joshua performed in the Recitals Australia Autumn Lunch Hour Series. That same year, Joshua went on a trip to the United States in December as part of the music tour with the school concert band, sightseeing in New York then subsequently performing at venues in Los Angeles and Anaheim. Most recently, Joshua performed at Australian Piano Warehouse amongst concert pianist Gil Sullivan, performed the first movement of Grieg's Piano Concerto alongside his teacher at the Recitals Australia Spring Lunch Hour Series and was also a semi-finalist in the 2024 5MBS Young Virtuoso Competition. Joshua Aspires to become a Concert pianist in the future.
